The Brown/Joseph competition appears to be strong. It's apparent Barnes wants Joseph to take the reins, as his minutes show. Balbay was once again a non-factor.

I'd have to assume that Brown is still playing second fiddle to the other starters. He was excellent throughout much of the game, so if his "overall approach" to the game improves, he'd probably be starting.

Thompson's piss poor FT exhibition continues.

Hamilton was really good. And Johnson continues to do the little things that people don't notice much because it doesn't show up on the stat sheet. But really, he's the only one making stuff happen on some plays, even if he doesn't get the points or rebound.

The team made a better effort to force turnovers. Other teams are going to try to force things through our forwards. Better teams will have success, like USC. We need Hamilton to basically play all 94 feet of the court on both ends, or we're in for some trouble against good post teams.

yeah, yeah LOL. He was a strong rebounder and a good athlete at 6'9" or so. Not a great shooter but worked hard. He was in the league for over 15years but only averaged something like 14pts/game. I remember most of those coming on fast breaks, dunks, and trash buckets. I remember him handling the ball better than most PFs on fast breaks. TT has that same skill as well as being a hard worker on both ends of the court.

"Only" 14 pts a game for 17 years in the NBA?!

Plus, "only" 8.2 rebounds a game for 1257 games.

Got a ring, too. OT !!!

All I know is the next time I pick someone for a comparison, I'm using a guy who is not old enough to have seen Jimi Hendrix live.

We'd be practically elite if we had a 2nd guy who could do about 75% of the stuff Thompson does. It would make up for a ton of the PG shortcomings.
