This Will Stir Up Something

Well, he is going to lose a lot of followers on this one. I'm sure most, if not all of the religious crowd will still be behind him, but the non-religious people that do like him are going to start questioning their "faith" in him.

And Pam, why would you ever abort a baby that you never conceived. Didn't you know he was special when you never actually did the dirty to have him in the first place?

I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised by this. I don't think Tim is that interested in getting picked up by Nike or Reebok. It seems that he's much more interested in spreading his views via football fame than he is in cashing endorsement checks.

O.K. I'm gonna swim upstream on this one. I actually respect him for making a choice that is consistent with his well-publicized values, even though it is damaging to his professional career. As much as I found his eye-patch schtick tiresome, I like the fact that he's putting his money where his mouth is here.

I really don't like Tebow. Although I'm not pro abortion, I am pro-choice. You have to give him some credit though for going on the air during the Super Bowl and telling the WHOLE WORLD what he thinks about the issue.

Every decision should not be judged based on money.

I'm pro-choice, but I have no problem with anyone trying to persuade people not to have an abortion. I just don't want to see abortion turned into a crime.

I'm pro-choice, and I DO have a problem with someone trying to persuade someone else not to have an abortion. The strong-arm pro-life tactics used by some "crisis pregnancy centers" are alarming, to say the least.

However, Tim Tebow can say what he wants in his ad. I don't have to agree.

Not all tactics have to be strong armed. My wife is an OB/GYN, and she's had women tell her that they won't tell other people they're pregnant because they're afraid those people might get excited or use the term "baby" instead of "fetus." Sometimes little things like that are all it takes to change a mind. Let's wait and see the Tebow ad before we burn him at the stake.

By the way, I'm pro-choice with heavy pro-life leanings. If you figure that one out, let me know.

Bully for Tim for standing by his view points. Irregardless of my views on the subject, if he can get on the super bowl and spout his opinion and be damned with the affects it may have on his carreer due to political correctness. Praise the man for his honesty.

Looks to me like Tim Tebow is already staking out his ground in politics down the road.

Palin-Tebow ????

Why does this have to be about his political leanings? The man has no problem professing his faith, so why can't it just be about his faith, and his relationship with Christ? Why do we have to make everything political, when sometimes it's about your core beliefs.

I commend Tebow for putting his money where his mouth is. If this were a pro abortion ad much less would be said. Oh, just for the record, I'm all for a woman's right to choose. Well, unless the choice is murder. But that comes from someone who was adopted at 1 month of age. Doubt Tebow cares what libs think. I wouldn't. And I don't mean that as a slam. I really just don't see why he would give a rip.

The ad was very benign. Subtle with a bit of silly humor. It basically said go to our website to learn more about the Tebows' story.

The commercial was very indirect, and its creators were probably relying on the fact that there would be "controversy" about it in advance to mitigate its indirectness.

The subtlety also had the effect of disarming the strident "critics".

I would like to know the entire story. It would be a very rare illness indeed for a doc to tell a mother to abort unless it was German Measles. I would love to hear the doctors take on this story.
