This team is going to be something special the next couple of seasons. I will go on record as saying at some point within the next few years we will beat both Baylor and UCONN, and win a NC. Those may be some pretty bold predictions, but just look at some of the numbers from last night's game. Three Horn underclassmen accounted for 82% of our points vs. the Huskies. And if you don't think UCONN had to work hard for that win, no Husky starter played fewer than 32 minutes, and three played 38 minutes each. Atkins, Higgs and McCarty scored 53 points while cumulatively playing 92 minutes; UCONN's big three of Stewart, Tuck and Jefferson - two seniors and a junior - scored 54, but played a combined total of a 108 minutes. UCONN only outscored us by 4 in the 3rd quarter, and by just 2 in the 4th. In fact we played them to single digits in three of four quarters, and they just barely reached double digits in the 2nd, outscoring us by 10. Two sophmores and a freshman took it to UCONN, and while the outcome may have never been in doubt, it was anything but a typical, or easy win for the Huskies. And don't think they don't know it. And now we're going to add Holmes, Sutton, Underwood and the twins to what we already have coming back for at least two more seasons, and tell me this team can't beat anyone in the country. Yes we lose 4 seniors, including three starters, which will take a bit of an adjustment to contend with. But there is going to be so much talent on this squad going forward the sky is the limit!

I could not agree MORE!!! When you look at how those two sophomores and one freshman played, it is beyond impressive. They showed NO FEAR whatsoever. They came to play and COMPETE. That is what you want. Players that come to FIGHT for 40 minutes. Under Karen, we have gotten better each year. With the addition of Holmes, Sutton, Underwood and the Caron-Gadreau twins, Texas will be a much better offensive team next year, with the ability to SPREAD THE FLOOR. The Caron-Gadreau twins are DEADLY 3 point shooters. You will have SHOOTERS at multiple positions. Defenses will no longer be able to cheat and sag!!!!! The SPEED of this team in the open floor next year will be amazing. Wait til you see Holmes handle the ball in the open floor with the speed of a guard. She is beyond EXPLOSIVE!!! This is going to be FUN!!!!!
