This Team is Dirty ...

Lets test our hitting and pitching vs good teams...I think our D will be solid throughout the year.

lets take the next 3 and complete the sweep, I think Sunday will be a slugfest.
 
It's still early. Were only six games in, but so far I would agree with all of the OP. Pitching has especially been ridiculous and I only see it getting better over time with the improvement of the Frosh.

Let's see how they do out in Cali and then we can see where they stand nationally. Any rate, good win and sweep these Nittany Lions right out of here!!!

have we committed an error (or as Keith would say, "era") yet?
 
I'm trying to keep my enthusiam at a minimum until we play some teams that have had a chance to practice outside.

But, it's hard to not get pumped!
 
Thru 9 games...

Pitching: A+
Defense: A+
Hitting: B/B-

The potential is there for this to be an explosive team on offense. If our offense can just be a little more consistent...watch out.
 
Really depends on what you're looking for from our offense. We're hitting .322 as a team. Hard to complain about that. We have 15 sacrifices and 6 SF. It looks as though we are getting back to playing Longhorn baseball. Pitching, defense, manufacture runs. I can recall some bad AB's in small ball situations, but I think we have been successful in those situations much more than we've failed. I'd rather win 4-1 games than 15-13 games any day. I'm happy with our offense at this point.

It's not that I'm necessarily disappointed in our offense thus far. It's more that in comparison to our pitching and defense (which have been at an all world level so far) the offense hasn't consistently been great (as far as consistently producing runs is concerned). We've had two games where we've only scored one run and won (which is a credit to the team as a whole to win those types of games). Anyway, absolutely great start to the season, and I'm sure we will continue to improve and have a great year. All the pieces seem to be there.

Winning those 1-0 games are VERY important. Enough cant be said for how crucial it is to be able to win close, low scoring games like that. They will be more often than not come May/ June.
