...is just screaming for Texas to make it to the finals and then knock off Kansas for the Conference Championship. Would be very, very sweet.

Here's hoping.

Tonight's game is going to be a real test. Baylor is playing as well as anyone in the conference right now, having won 9 out of 10, including last night's destruction of #2 seed OU. Get by the Bears and I think they have a good shot in the championship game.

Baylor will be tough, but even if the Horns get through, Isu is a bad matchup because their bigs stay on the perimeter and can handle the ball fairly well.

Horns don't have the outside shooting to stay in this game. Hopefully Baylor will get dead legs in the second half

Doesn't look good. Horns are playing timid and are not only missing outside shits but easy ones as well. Their defense is average at best and Baylor is hitting just about everything. 43-27 bears. I think Baylor has 6 or 7 three's

I try not to say its over before its over, but we aren't showing any effort that looks like a comeback. Its too frustrating to watch this team. In our last few losses, I don't think we've even been in the game. Maybe we aren't taking anyone by surprise anymore and last night's win over WVU was just because WVU is that bad. Since our last Baylor win, this team has pretty much looked as bad as last year's. Holmes and Ridley are the only ones that seem to show up and they can't control the game.

I've wanted Barnes gone for many years. He''s certainly elevated the program over where Penders had it. But Texas needs a coach now worthy of the job.

Texas men's basketball is long overdue for a better head coach. And, yes, I know about that "coach of the year" schtick, but Rick belongs at Stephen F. Austin (or some such school). He's definitely not worth what Texas is paying him, and he's massively underachieved the last few years.

Hey, Steve, hire somebody worthy.

We lost our 4 leading scorers and everyone said we were done for and falling apart as a program; turns out we increased chemistry and teamwork and defense and finished 3rd in the conference. Let's fire our coach!

I what this team needs more than anything is some semblance of a go to player that can hit jump shots on a reasonably consistent basis. They don't have anything close to that and I don't believe it's something that typically can be coached.

Of course there are exceptions, like Travis Mays for example. He had limited shooting skills when he came to Texas, but turned out to be a relatively prolific scorer with a good jump shot.
