We aren't gong down the tubes because of an isolated case of an undeserving person getting food stamps. I'm not defending the woman, but this isn't the reason we're going down the tubes.

We're going down the tubes because of our population's screwed up priorities and ignorance, both of which pre-dated Obama's presidency by many years. Obama's presidency might be a symptom, but it's not a cause.

Government programs create fraud and waste. This is just an example of why government programs are a waste and we need to get out of the business of charity and leave that to the charities.

This is one good thing about across the board budget cuts. Not too much thinking is necessary. Just make the cuts. Real ones. Then everything gets cut and you have to figure out a way to deal with it. Eliminating fraud and mismanagement would be one of the best ways to weather real cuts.

The two parties may differ in which programs they want to cut but they both pander by giving out our money to other entities. GOP gives it to business interest and top tier earners/wealth via ridiculous tax loop holes and Dems give it out via ridiculous entitlement policies.

They both BUY their constituencies with middle America's tax dollars.

The Republican illusion is that there is enough money to be cut from welfare queens and taking away tax refunds from people who essentially don't pay taxes to somehow get the budget in line.

The Democratic version of reality somehow imagines that if rich folks just paid their fair share we could get to an equilibrium.

The truth sadly is that poor folks, rich folks and middle class folks are all going to be on the hook for sacrifice if we ever get this deficit under control.

Rand Paul has put out the only serious budget proposal that will actually cut spending and start to reduce our debt. It needs to be passed immediately.
