I can't believe our government would allow this. okies possibly getting a Texas license plate. This is a bad idea

There should be something on it about cheating or being on probation. Looking at it actually makes me kind of sick....

Also, what's up with the TN Vol license plate? You sure as hell can't get a TX Longhorn plate here in TN (at least not that I'm aware of or have seen).

Whereas this state has a flagship university and whereas so-called custom or vanity plates are a luxury for which charging a fee is already deemed acceptable and whereas finding sources of voluntarily contributed revenue to support the state's flagship university helps in times of economic hardship be it resolved that out-of-state universities may be favorably depicted on Texas license plates under the following restrictions:

1) Each plate commemorating an out-of-state university shall be issued only on the donation to the University of Texas at Austin general fund of $200 in the year 2010 to increase with the CPI thereafter
2) No plate shall have the name or abbreviation of the name of another state in larger or bolder font than that of the issuing state, namely TEXAS
3) Each plate commemorating an out-of-state public university shall have the historic win-loss record of that university's football team with respect to the University of Texas at Austin displayed somewhere on it

I brought this topic up last year after I saw one of those LSU plates. The only replies I got were a bunch of "who cares", "get over it", "don't be a cry baby", "more tax money for Texas", etc. My thread was moved to the loser Esthers Follies Board.
