This guy in my office is drunk again....

This dude sits next to me and comes in about once, sometimes twice a week still drunk from the night before, and/or on something that we hadven't quite figured out yet. He babbles on about nothing, slurrs, sits there trying not to yak, and sleeping at his desk. Now, before you say anything, I realize that a lot of people go to work sometimes after a long night, and are still kinda feeling it, but I can't begin to explain how bad this guy is. He makes all kinda weird noises. A few minutes ago, he looked back at the girl on the other side of him, and asked, "Huh, what's up?" Only she hadn't said anything. The other day, he tripped on the way to his desk, and as he sat down, ripped *** and didn't even realize it. I know for a fact that he decided to take up blow recently, since his wife left him. And before y'all start feeling sorry for him and being concerned, don't. He's a ******* peice of **** and I can't stand him. What kills me is neither our Op's manager or branch manager will say anything to him, and he's not even good at his job. He sucks, in fact. I happen to be the best one back here, and and given **** when I request a day off once every 6 months or so, but ******** over here no-call no-shows, comes in hours late and drunk and sleeps at his desk with no consequences. OK, that's all. Thanks for letting me vent.

i know you said not to feel sorry for him, but this guy seriously needs help, of an intensity that would inhibit his ability to work. win-win.

Your company is just avoiding a lawsuit if they try to fire a guy with a drug problem. Or he has pictures of someone important. Or he like Milton, where they just stopped paying him and they don't want to confront him.

Yes, he needs all kinds of help. He is the joke of the office. Everybody is constantly waiting to see what he's gonna do next. The other part I was telling y'all about is that he wants very badly for us to be friends, but in a very weird way. He actually copies everything I do. If I get a new shirt, and someone comments on it, he goes and buys it. If he sees that I have finished eating and am using a toothpick, he will acutally get out a toothpick and start chewing on it. He leaves to go to lunch when I do, comes in drinking whatever type of energy drink I was drinking the day before and tries to even talk like me sometimes. There are days when I can't stand listening to him, so I will plug headphones into my radio, and he will follow suit. As soon as I take mine off, he does the same, within seconds. I tell stories and days later, he tells the same story right in front of me, as though it happened to him. When I am talking to someone, he will stop what he's doing and listen intently, nodding his head and attempting to be part of the conversation. I bought a new watch, someone commented on it, he bought a new watch. Someone commented the other day on my burnt orange rubber "Hook 'Em" bracelet the other day, and the next day, he shows up w/ some sort of black rubber bracelet.

What the hell do you do that this would be allowed to continue? Doesn't sound like the dude produces much actual work.

We are both processors. And no, he really doesn't contribute much at all. Should have been let go about a year ago. What can I say!

Oh my God, no. He is a very sloppy individual himself. Fat, balding, humpbacked. She was also a big 'un. From Hawaii. Sounded like a man. Trust me, I could put a camera in the corner of my office and sell the footage to a major network for millions. Seriously.

So, a couple time today, he mentioned that he is going to a concert tonight to see a band called Deadboy and the Elephant Man. He just started moaning and groaning and complaining that his foot hurt, and asked if he could leave. Request granted!

Man I'm sorry, but drug problem or not, how does this loser still have a job?

I'd be out on my *** if I did **** like that, and I've been with my company for ten years...

I bet you a dollar that guy winds up getting promoted--and transferred to another department. Much easier way to deal w the situation than firing

no offense, but this seems like a steaming pile of ********.
