Is all over my house. What is it and should I be worried that there are hundreds on my house and fence?

Worried in what sense?

The beetle won't do any damage to your house if that's what you mean. Larval forms may harm your lawn by eating at the grass roots. I emphasize "may", because from these pictures the beetle looks to be in the same family (Scarabaieidae) as the common june bug. The june bug larvae can damage your lawn when present in large numbers. But again, I can't identify the beetle from this photo with that degree of certainty.

Edit: Not Scarabaieidae - terminal antennal segments are not correct for that family. I'll keep fiddling with it.

I found a bunch of these in my garden a couple of days ago. I remember in Austin not too long ago we had the year of the spider. Is this the year of the beetle?
