Come on horns - we have been a second half team all year. Look bad tonight.

Has the lowest BBall IQ of any team I have ever seen. I missed the first half, but James has rarely even touched the ball on most possessions in the 2nd. They pass, and then hold for 2-3 seconds while they kind of decide what to do in slo-mo. No concept of making quick passes to get a man free. It's incredible. Then we can't make a free throw or protect the ball and it's really ugly BBall to watch.

Oh and then we have a 3 on 1 and kick out for a 3 instead of taking the layup. Or James gets a dunk only to give a runout at the other end because no one gets back. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

this bball team and program is ina complete freefall with zero leadreship both from the squad and coaching staff. it is a complete and total embarrassment.
may be time to start asking the tough and unspoken question about barnes' tenure at UT. ANOTHER AWFUL FUCKIN PERFORMANCE.

Chill out. Early on we thought we were good but who did we beat? North Carolina? Ah...they suck. Mich St? Maybe luck. Look...we know now how "good" we are and its not very good at all...We'll make the tourney...maybe sweet 16 then we'll get thrashed. Meanwhile the women are playing well and baseball starts Friday.

If that isn't enough...bring on the Spring Game....football season is right around the corner.

yeah, but if we even do one thing right, we're in the game in the last minute. Choose one of any:
1. make free throws
2. not allow runouts
3. block out consistently
4. play D in the 2nd half instead of fouling every other time.

Having calmed down after switching to the Olympics after the final buzzer....

It could just be that conference road play -- for all conferences -- are the killers that you face before getting to the NCAA. Spills are happening in the Big East, and Kentucky has had to fight off losses, as has Kansas.

Horns lost by 5 on the road in a game I thought lacked none of the imaginative ways one can pass up points or hand them to the other.

I don't think we'll ever really know what this season amounts to, nation-wide, until teams start playing on neutral courts.

Among many other problems, no offensive strategy. This is getting depressing!

Why do people think saying "look at how we were before Barnes" is a rebuttal to him leaving the program? The same people probably said that about Penders. The program will not go out and find an inferior coach. Those days are over. it's about improving, not going back to the dark ages.

And why Barnes INSISTS on letting Balbay bring the ball up is exhibit A of why his stubborness is the primary problem.

Here is what I don't understand: Barnes supposedly is a defensive-minded coach, yet Missouri totally disrupted us on defense with their pressing scheme. It appears Missouri's coach is able to coach this type of defense and get his players to execute. Why can't we? This is supposed to be our strength. We have athleticism and depth, yet we are a team without a clue.

They've become unwatchable. Watching them try to run an offense eminds me of a strategy one of my intramural teammates tossed out 20 or so years ago in the 6' and under league. He suggested we space all five of our guys out along the three point line and every time you pass the ball you take a step toward the basket. Eventually everybody's under the basket with the ball ready for a layup. We opted against that strategy. I wish the Horns would, too. It fails to account for the fact that the other team may actually try to play defense.

was severely overrated. So much talk earlier about the depth on this team, but that was never really evident to me. Far too many inconsistencies at every position and questionable talent at the backup post positions.
