U.S. politicians can never decide whether or not vocational education is worthwhile. It's either all students should be college bound or that we are not providing enough education for those students for whom college is not in the cards.

IMO, we cannot send every student to college anymore than we can send evey student to the pro golf and tennis tours. There are other avenues to utilize human talent besides a university education.

I hate it when an impossible task is given to education and then people complain that education is failing. The best part is when U.S. education as a whole is compared to the top of the rest of the world, which places its students into university and non-university tracks.
