Thinking 7 Seed Now....

.....and a win tomorrow against Baylor gives Horns a 6 seed. Somehow, if they can win it all, I'm thinking 4 seed. Either way, this team has moved itself out of the dreaded 8/9 slot, which is great. We'll see what happens. Hook 'Em!!

Well....had some tough losses for sure. But, wins over ou, Villanova, UCLA plus 22 wins and two so far in the conf. tourney when it starts to get very tough (Kansas) and yes, I do.

Acting like each win will bump us up a seed is flawed logic. We are probably a 7 seed max.

Considering that a 7 seed would roughly rank us between No. 25-28 I'd say a low 6 or high 7 sounds about right.

Today's win helped us, but I'd guess more like moving from 9 to 8 line. The Colorado game actually hurt our RPI, I'd guess. I think a win tomorrow gets us a 7 seed. We'd need to beat OU in OKC to get anything higher than a 7 seed. And I'm not holding my breath on that. In fact, I'll kind of be pulling for Baylor. I'd love to see the Bears win it all and knock Aggy to the NIT!

Bob, I think Palm had us as 6th principally because the rest of the Big 12 also rans likely were then sitting on the 10 line. Aggy is locked in at 10 (unless Baylor steals their spot), but Okie State is now moved onto the 8/9 line. That leaves an opening for Texas on the 7 line. That's my best bracketology.

I don't think it's flawed to believe Texas was an 8 seed prior to the conference tournament. 2 wins in, and yes, I believe it's absolutely reasonable to feel they are a 7 at this time. Win the Big 12 tournament, something I admit will be very hard to do, and this team will likely be a 4-5 seed. First things first...beat Baylor and we'll see what happens.

Hell no there isn't any flawed logic in anyone's best guess. We are all taking shots, none even random, and likely we'll all be within one seed of correct once the brackets are announced. It's fun to talk about, right? The best part is now we talk about what seed, instead of what chance. Texas is in, and that' s all that really matters to any of us.

A 7 seed seems reasonable at this point. We'd probably have to win the whole tournament and look good doing it to draw a higher seed, though.
