Things you expected to happen in movies, ...

it has happened to all of us.

Instances that come to mind:

1. I endured all of Star Wars Episode 3 expecting there to be droid-wookie combat and it never happened. That made a horrible movie even worse.

2. Ben Affleck lived through Pearl Harbor, and I along with my wife and my $14 once again felt cheated.
