Bashar al-Assad isn't insane at all. He's a ruthless Arab dictator who is following in the footsteps of his father, who also killed many of his countrymen.

There is nothing about what al-Assad said that should make anyone say "what". It is par for the course, both in speech and in practice, for that part of the world.

Every time I see Baba doing an interview with anybody of any significance outside of Hollywood, I am reminded of the parody interview of Hitler by Larry King. Hers sound like it but are for real.
