They Slaughter Horses, Don't They?

It's time to bring back the horse slaughterhouse.

The do-gooders responsible for closing US equine meat processing plants have done far more harm than good.

I am curious as to what now happens to all those sad old horses that people have discarded as pets. I used to see trailerloads of them being hauled to god only knows where for slaughter so the Japs and Frogs could eat them (no offense intended to the japs and frogs). I even ate some horsemeat when in Paris for a few months once. Awfully rich but the frogs seemed to enjoy it.

What does happen to them now?

What happens now?

They, more often than not, suffer and die or are shipped to Canada or Mexico for slaughter. Which could also fall under the suffer and die category.

It's a funny issue, where I'm defining funny as mind-blowingly stupid, that of outlawing equine slaughterhouses.

Agree. Just because we don't like horse meat does not mean, we should push our animal values on other countries. Not to mention, we could use the jobs/tax money.
