One is the more pleasant experiences of being a parent is discovering that TMBG have gone Disney. They have two kids records that are very listenable if you have around a 5 year old.

They know where the money is! They also know that it is Istanbul, not Constantinople. They do the dumb things they gotta do, they tough the puppet head. Are they still with Ana Ng? Have they yet walked in the glow of each others majestic presence?

Great band. I hope this does well for them.

One of my favorite Liberty Lunch moments was seeing a packed club of normally too hip to care Austin music snobs totally geeking out to "Don't Let's Start" in the sweltering August heat. Loved that band.

They'e have themselves quite a little post music scene career. They've written about half of the TV show theme songs for kid's shows on right now (including Disney's current Mickey show). They also are the composers of the Daily Show's theme.

I love those guys. Ana Ing has always been one of my favorite songs.

I was expecting a thread about the George C. Scott movie in which George thinks he's Sherlock Holmes, and his family sends him to a shrink, appropriately named Dr. Watson, played by Joanne Woodward.

But I also love the band.

Ana Ng has one of my favorite lines out of a song. Where he says he saw this written on a bridge, *womans voice* "I don't want the world, I just want YOUR half".

I have their CD with Istanbul on it, love that CD. Still play it once in a while. They appeal to my love of strangeness, somehow.

If you want to drive yourself crazy, think about the lyrics to Particle Man for about one minute, then try not to walk around the rest of the day singing, inwardly, "Particle Man .... Particle Man ... Particle Man meets Triangle Man ... they have a fight, triangle wins .... Particle Man ...

Their "adult" shows are for ages 14+ only btw. They played Stubb's earlier this year and that was the case.
