College kids are going to lose focus playing so often. I expect many more upsets based on this.

Take Texas for example ... 3 game set with Stanford, DBU on Monday, revenge game @ Rice Tuesday. Five games in as many days.

You honestly think our boys are going to be concentrating on the Dallas Baptist game ?

Given Augie's philosophies regarding the mental aspect of baseball, I would expect Texas to be less affected by the whole "five games in five days" thing than most teams would be. Then again, I never expected 14 errors in a 5 game stretch either.

We all agree the schedule is pathetic, but there are only a couple more weeks of the 5-game per week thing. I think the focus right now should be on correcting the defensive mistakes, and if you have to do that without the benefit of practice time, then you have to do it. No excuses.

However, I think it's hilarious that Rice lost to SHSU and Dallas Baptist. 5 games a week or not, you can't spin that.

Rice loses their 3rd game in a row tonight against an unranked team (Michigan St). Now 6-5 on the season. Maybe they'll actually fall from the top 10 this week.
