thermostat safety?

Ya, it's my first year to live in an apartment. The cold snap last week forced me to turn the thermostat to heat mode. The gas furnace has an automatic pilot light. With the current weather of just mugginess my apartment is about as comfortable as a sweat box. So is there any 'danger' or risk involved in turning the thermostat back to cool?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

Are you asking if it's safe to run the AC after you've been running the heater, the answer is yes, run it.
