There's something I just need to know.

When you make a sandwich, do you cut it in half?

If you cut it in half, do you cut it diagonally so you have two triangles or do you cut it across the middle so you have two rectangles?

These are very important questions.

I never cut ones that I make for myself. For peanut butter sandwiches I use the single slice/fold it over method. Maybe my favorite sandwiches in the world are the little party style...usually cut in four pieces, corner to corner, with or without crust, white or wheat...tuna, chicken salad, pimento cheese or cream cheese and cucumber...but somebody else makes those.

If it's a sandwich I make myself, I don't cut it at all. If someone else made it, I am at the mercy of whoever brandishes the knife.

In fact, I'll only cut a burger if it's ridiculously large and cumbersome to handle in one piece.

When I was growing up, my best friend's mother would always cut her sandwiches. I never could understand why -- it improves neither the taste nor the size. As long as the hands of the eater can manage the whole thing, why bother to cut it??

If you have a woman in your life you should never have to make a sandwich, right? j/k

I am uncut too. I sometimes relive my elementary school years by cutting it into diagonal fourths.

Sometimes whole, sometimes halved. Sometimes side to side, sometimes corner to corner.

Depends on the sandwich, the time, my mood, and the direction of the wind.

If you're looking for consistency, please move along.

If you want adventure...

Regular sandwiches made on square bread, I never cut. If I make it on a long roll (sub style) then I cut it.
