This is a perfect example of the kind of song that I thought was really genius when I was in high school...and now I think it is really stupid and cheesy.
I agree that as we grow older and wiser peart's lyrics dont seem as genius as they did when we were 13, but this song(and album) is solid, musically. At least more people were exposed to Ayn Rand even if Peart may not have really understood some of the ideas of hers that he was parroting in his lyrics.
ZZ Top was great through Tres Hombres which was greatness.
Then they sold out for the radio and became the disco band from hell. Don't believe me ? Go listen to all of their hits after that. The drummer is playing the same old crap on every song.
