I always enjoyed the show when I'd pop in for an episode. But, I felt like I was missing a lot by not knowing the story line, so I didn't make it a regular thing. I'm gonna catch the whole thing this time around.

BTW, I freakin' love the 101! Check out Trailer Park Boys and Z Rock. Underbelly was pretty cool, too.

if you havent watched it, i'd recommend DVRing a few episodes, and having a marathon to get fully into it.

I'm watching it on Netflix right now, & halfway through season 5. While I agree it's a really good show, it does have some little things that bug me.

Like why the hell would Prop Joe & those other gang leaders just sit back & let that scrawny mouthy *** Marlo take over. They should have given him a beat down the first time he mouthed off in a meeting.

Then there's McNulty always sucking on 1/2 pint bottles of liquor that look empty. Why not splurge & get a full pint...or better yet, buy one of those giant jugs & either funnel it to the 1/2 pint bottle or get a cup. Maybe that's a cop thing??

And Clay Davis saying "Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" way the **** too long.

And somebody needs to whack that jive talking weird *** looking ***** (Snoop?) that rides Chris's coattail.

I'm mostly joking. Good show, but IMO not as great as The Shield.

I watched it a while back, straight through 5 seasons in a couple months. I loved it, but I am enjoying it more the second time around!

I also think that Prop Joe underestimated the growth potential and moxie of Marlo. The vacuum created and the fact he was from a different part of B-More played a role too. With a power struggle going on it could or could not be the best time to step in. You could take advantage of the in fighting of different people in the power struggle or piss all of them off and they unite to take you out and your area.

He was content that his connection with the Greeks was solid enough to be able to unify the dealers and ring leaders as well as control the product coming in down to the packages on the street.

His vision was a big one and overlooked the speed bump in the road that broke him down.

Prop Joe taught Marlow how to hide his cash, and hooked him up with Levy. It's almost as if Joe was grooming him to take over. Cheese was a little punk *** and maybe Joe was being paternalistic towards Marlow.
