Can someone tell me what the F McNulty was doing?

and that stupid made up ballpark story, worst story line on the wire, ever. I'm kinda pissed. I mean, just because some white dude writes it, all the other white dudes think its great?

McNulty has had it with the system. The game is rigged, he know he can't win playing it the right way and his ego and arrogance are too much to lose. He HAS to win. He has sold everyone he's worked with down the river in the past, he's now taking it to the extremes. If he can make it look like there is a serial killer in Baltimore, more man power will be given to the investigation. McNulty wants to bring down Marlo more than he did the Barksdale crew because for the first time he has a personal stake in it; he was responsible for Bodie's death.

As for the newspaper storyline, we're headed down a Jason Blair path. The bigwigs will go over Gus' head to give that guy bigger stories because of his writing skills, but he'll eventually get exposed. Simon is making Gus out to be a martyr at The Sun. Gus is supposed to be one of a dying breed of newsmen that are committed to quality not sensationalism.

I was guessing that on McNulty, but wow, talk about bending the rules. we'll see.


I get the newspaper angle, but I've never seem the writers of this show display such a lack of subtlety making their point.

obviously, mcnulty is going down this season.

it really strains credulity that Bunk would allow him to do that, but who knows....
