First a little recent history lesson. Europe has been basically overrun with refugees resulting from the bombing of Libya and the Syrian war. Italy, Greece, and France all experienced economic, logistics, and cultural hardships from the onslaught of people. A larger group remained in Turkey where President Erdogan used the refugees as leverage against the EU, agreeing not to release them into Europe in exchange for compensation.
Fast forward to the latest US regime change project, this time in our hemisphere. The probability of something similar to Syria is rapidly gaining speed. Assuming Maduro and the millions of Chavistas aren't willing to turnover the country to a US puppet regime, its likely the US will arm and fund insurgents and a civil war ensues.
Many Trump supporters voted for him because of his stand on immigration, legal and otherwise, and pledge to protect the borders, especially the southern border. A large percentage of the refugees currently trying and to a large scale succeeding in getting into the US or from Honduras and Guatemala. The total population of these two countries amount to about 25 million. While both countries are economic basket cases, neither is war torn at this time. If a war in Venezuela ignites, a country of 31 million people, it will spread and encompass Colombia, a country of 49 million people. Combined, the two countries have a population of 90 million people. Not only will there be economic hardships, there will be angry people who have suffered as a result of war. Guess where millions of these people are going to escape to and I wonder if they will be angry when they reach their destination? Will the Mexican President, like Erdogan in Turkey, hold and feed these people within the Mexican border? Will Mexico be desperate and allow them to be turned loose into the US? Will Trump pay Mexico billions to house them inside Mexico.
Is this what you expected in terms of border security when you voted for Trump? Don't rule out the possibility of a mass immigration from down south into the US. Recent history would make this seem to be the likely result of US interference. Oh well, we might get the oil and the Chinese and Russians won't. And isn't 10-15 million angry South American refugees pouring into our country a small price to pay for a corporate victory?
