with 12 seconds left. all Jordan needed to do was take off with the ball and they would have had to send him to the line. What a difference that play made.
Stated that on the other thread. Just get fouled and make UA win it on their own possession, not ours. His basketball IQ is lacking beyond comprehension.
I agree the timeout was a bad decision. I think the bench must have told the guys to call timeout. I've not seen that in that situation all year by any player. So why now? Makes no sense no matter who's idea it was.
Hamilton still has a lot to learn. He still forces it way too much and especially after the other team is making a little run. Those just lead to bigger runs. He's really good when he plays within the offense, but as others have said, he still needs a lot more discipline.
Inexplainable why Hamilton wouldn't want to be the guy to ice it there. J'Covan would have sprinted as fast as he could down to the other end and waited for the foul. To compound that gaffe with the foul is just ridiculous.
I haven't seen what Barnes said after the game. My only guess is that he told them to call time out if they were tied or behind and that was a mental mistake by both Hamilton and Johnson who also was yelling for the timeout. Really too bad.
