The Ticket's Gordon Keith vs. Nasty Nestor

The feud between the Ticket and Baltimore radio host/station owner Nestor Aparicio, who goes by "Nasty Nestor," went to the next level this morning during the Dunham and Miller radio show.

For those that don't know, the Ticket has had a long running feud with Nasty for a while now. Last year, when Corby Davidson approached Nestor hoping for a reconciliation, Nestor called Davidson, "A ******* Jew."

This morning, Gordon decided to walk over to Nestor and ask to "bury the hatchet", Nestor then grabbed Gordon by the neck and tried to choke him.

I know Gordon can be annoying to other people in radio, and I know that they have a long feud with this doosh, but this was ridiculous. I really hope Gordon presses charges on the guy.

I wish all sports radio "personalities" would choke each other to death. The world would be a little quieter, a little less infantile. It would be a blessing.

They got exactly what they hoped for. It has made all the blogs and headlines at a time when the ratings have begun to slide and DFW now has 3 full time sports radio stations.

this is perfect timing, because IMO 105.3 the fan is pretty good. the big difference between the ticket and the fan is the fan is really taking phone calls from listeners. Add to that being owned by CBS, and having a much stronger signal, 105.3 might really do something to those ratings.

But orangecat, that's the thing: I listen to the Ticket BECAUSE I don't want to hear an endless parade of uninformed callers. I don't care what Jim Bob in Mesquite thinks about the Cowboys. But I am interested in what Troy Aikman, Peter King or Darryl Reaugh have to say about sports, and I love the bits they do (particularly the morning triumvirate of Muse in the News, the 8:40 bit and Gordo's Corner).

The Fan has an amazing blowtorch of a signal, but none of their programming is the least bit compelling. Until they bring something to the table that's interesting, I don't have any interest.

what sasquatch said. The only thing worse than sports radio personalities is the people that call in to the shows with their 2 cents. The Ticket is at least 50% guy talk and ******* around.

I am another one who could give two shits about what metroplex fans think of the Cowboys/Mavs/Stars/whatever.

Your takes are either generic, ridiculous, or over the top. You have no substance to add to what the guy on the radio is already saying. Now, if Troy Aikman has something to say, I'll listen.

Oh, and The Fan is hurting in the ratings. I assure you they are not taking away fans from The Ticket. They have already canned their original afternoon show (K-Scott and Greg Hill) and replaced them with SPARE Newy Scruggs and SPARE Sean Salisbury.

That is a whole lot of suck right there. I can't wait for Dan to start ragging on Newy again...

Ben and Skin might get some listeners like me who turn over during commercial breaks, but nothing substantial. I've also noticed that B&S have gotten away from what made them so great. No schtick. No funnies. They are just bitchin about the Cowboys for 4 hours. No thanks.

the fan will have to get a different morning show before I can listen. Then again dunham and miller are the only show I really listen to on the ticket anymore so doubt I would listen then either.

105.3 The Fan is beginning to grow on me. The Ticket's Convention, Ticket Stock was really weak today. I'll check it out tomorrow, I hope it is better...

In the terminology of my high school, Keith was "cruisin' for a bruisin'". Sadly enough he will be emboldened to hassle someone else to the point of violence, To me this is painful to watch, painful to hear and makes wish for an appealing alternative, which is typically Mike and MIke or NPR. I listen to dunham and miller and often find Keith entertaining. This crap causes me to push another button.
