In chatting with a Tennessee friend over who would win in various death matches: Davy Crockett vs Danielle Boone, Jim Bowie vs Nathan Bedford Forrest, Sam Houston vs Andrew Jackson, and for entertainment purposes Buddy Holly vs Elvis...it got me thinking, Disney should reboot their Davy Crockett franchise and have an Avengers like franchise.

That would be a blockbuster and awards gold IMO. Sam Houston, born in Shenandoah and raised by Indians could be played by Daniel Day Lewis. He could have two movies dedicated to him only. Davy Crockett, I'm thinking Bradley Cooper, could have like 3 movies plus the Alamo "Avengers Assemble" movie. Andrew Jackson played by Sam Sheperd or Tommy Lee Jones, would be in the first Davy Crockett movie. Christian Bale/Jason Bateman as Jim Bowie in his biopic movie. Ryan Gosling would be Travis and McConnaghey would be Bonham in the Alamo movie. And how about Gael Garcia Bernal as Juan Seguin?

I'd release it in this order:

Davy Crockett I: Crockett and Jackson
Sam Houston I: Houston and Bonham
Jim Bowie: Bowie
Davy Crockett II: Crockett
The Alamo: Houston, Crockett, Bowie, Bonham, Travis, Seguin
Sam Houston II: Houston, Seguin

I wouldn't mind seeing another Alamo film along the lines of 300.
With the genocidal Santa Anna charging the Alamo on an elephant or rhino.
