Not of all time, of course, because we don't want to slight Justin Bieber.

And isn't Julian Casablancas just about the coolest rocker ever?

But seriously, The Strokes are good.

Weren't they at the latest activies in Austin?

What is it that makes the Strokes good? I have listened to some of their stuff. Couldn't get into it.

My favorite Julian Casablancas song is actually the one he wrote for Queens of the Stone Age, Sick Sick Sick.

I have to admit to not being even vaguely familiar with their stuff. But I'm willing to give it a shot: where's the best place to start with The Strokes?

Of bands in the last 10 years or so I would take the Black Keys and Dan Auerbach far ahead of the strokes.

Yeah in the last 10 years, the bands I have enjoyed most are the Black Keys, the White Stripes (have they been within 10 yrs?), Queens of the Stone Age, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The Stroke's first Album, Is This It, had some critical acclaim. You might want to start there.

I'm hearing "Undercover of Darkness" on the internet station I listen to (WXRT out of Chicago - very good) and it's a good song.
