'The Signature @ MGM' other Vegas luxury hotels

The missus and I are starting to visit Vegas more and we have found that we like to stay at Vegas's upscale hotels in spite of the big bucks one has to put down. Our last four visits were to The Hotel at Mandalay Bay and Wynn Las Vegas. Still, we don't splurge like Warren Buffet could: For example, at the Wynn, we rented the "cheap" room, called the the Resort Room, so as to try to keep the bill to bewteen 200 to 300 per. The high rollers can drop close to or over a thousand per night with Wynn's Salon Suite.

Anyway, we probably are going again in August and we were thinking about trying the Bellagio. There is one week in August where the rates aren't too bad. But I found, on the MGM Grand website, a hotel section called the Signature at MGM. Sounds like the rooms are equivalent to the The Hotel in quality, and about the same price (the really high rollers can stay at MGM's Skylofts at >1000 per).

Any of y'all ever stayed at the Signature? If so, how was it? How 'bout the Bellagio?

the room quality at The Bellagio is deplorable. they're jsut hotel rooms.

I stay at Venetian alot. last time, for $325/night, we stayed in a suite that was over 1200 sq. ft.

absolutely great.

their "base room" is around 700 sq. ft. and very nice for the price.

bellagio, from what I know is phenomenal everywhere except the rooms.

My wife and I had a great room at the Bellagio last year, and the service was excellent (her 40th birthday, and they went out of the way with upgrades, etc.). That said, for the basic room, Venetian is definitely larger/nicer. Haven't stayed at the Wynn yet or the Signature.

For my cousin's bachelor party, the 20+ of us were split between the MGM Signature, "regular" MGM and Mandalay Bay. The rooms at the Signature were suites with 2 baths and full kitchen. The room was nice, but it was a trek to get to the MGM casino. Not a big deal if you're sober, but since we weren't, it sucked.

Of the 3, I'd probably stay at the MGM. The room at Mandalay was amazing, but the casino was dead. MGM has a bit more going on. But again, it depends on what you're there for.
