The SEC will dominate

I know the brackets aren't even out yet. Normally, I wait until I know which SEC team will seal the doom of Texas to pronounce the complete superiority of the South Eastern Conference. But this year, I will say that whatever team is in the same regional will do it. It won't even be funny. Could be LSU. Could be Kentucky. It won't matter. Hell, if they let Arkansas into the tourney, they will annihilate the Horns.

Beau Vine will be along shortly to debunk this. He will be wrong.

You need look no further than the men's tennis final to get all the prognostication you need.

We are royally screwed.

The SEC has just wanted other conferences to get a taste of winning in Omaha the last seven years, they were deliberately throwing those games. That is all going to end this year and the dominance will return. Mark it down, minimum of 5 SEC teams in Omaha this year and the championship series will be an all SEC affair.

two teams dominating a conference doesn't signal a strong conf to me. i think the big 12 will surprise a lot of people this year, but you're right.... We're Dooooooomed.

The vast superiority of the SEC in baseball is overwhelming. If we draw any SEC teams in the tournament, we should not bother to show up.

Doomed.

Missourri 7 Ole Miss 0
4 Tulane 7, 1 Florida 4
4 Lipscomb 10, 1 UGA 7

and 1 LSU 12, 4 Texas Southern 1

I told you how badass the SEC was and you didn't listen. Texas is still doomed.

Beau, I disappointed you didn't remember I post this noise every year and fell for it once again.

Little know fact, FSU, Miami and UNC are farm league teams for the SEC. Just like the majors.

And the hits keep coming as only Bama, LSU and USC won yesterday while 5 lost and UK's game resumes today.

Brafuckingvo SEC. So much for all of that competition is awesome and makes us have no elite teams bs.

Can someone please point out to me the the poster or posters who were singing the praises of SEC baseball?

[crickets chirping]

I grew up playing baseball and am a big fan of the game, so I'm very glad that young men across the country have a chance to get an education...but I think you'll find that most people don't care much about college baseball, just like not many people care about wrestling, men's gymnastics, or meat judging, except obviously the Big XII. If people cared about these sports, then they would be regularly televised and they wouldn't be depending on football and basketball to keep them operational.

So after day 2 of the Regionals, the SEC has one team in the winner's bracket (LSU), 6 in the loser's bracket, and 2 teams did the 2 'n Q. Yes, I know it ain't over until some fat lady in Mississippi calls her chickens home to roost, but this sure doesn't look like domination at this point in the tourney....

Astrovol, are you going around to the other college baseball boards and the wrestling, men's gymnastics, and meat judging boards to tell them people don't care about their sports?

Well I'm glad you accept Big 12 superiority in baseball. It's a travesty that the SEC gets 9 teams in the tournament when their people don't care about the sport.

You're trying to draw water from a dried up well. I don't even know how to talk college baseball smack.

However, I'll play along, since you sound like you want to do some venting in preparation for today's game...

How did Big XII champion Texas lose in a quasi-home game to the worst team in the SEC, Tennessee. The Vols didn't even qualify for their CONFERENCE tournament.

If the Big XII is superior, why has a Pac 10 team won the last two titles?

We've faced enough SEC teams over the years to have heard the smack. You might have missed the Razorback fans at Disch-Falk a few years ago chanting SEC, SEC... after they beat us. (We went on to eliminate them.) You might have missed all the rest. We haven't played Tennessee in the post season that I know of. It makes me wonder why you are here now.

On the Aggie meat judging boards they're saying Vols are phonies. Go get 'em.

WOOOOOOO!

Absolute domination. My conference has now torn it up to the tune of two, count em, two teams in super regional play. We sent the rest of the conference home so as to not hurt the feelings of the Pac10 or ACC. Boomshakalaka!

We knew how weak Texas was and sent St. John's to handle our light work.
