They looked putrid on Wed night but very good for many stretches on thursday night. Interesting that T-Mac rode the pine during the 4th quarter- wasn't on the floor during winning time.
I wonder if this is the start of a trend or an anomaly as the group playing on the floor had been so good?
Brooks looked like a revelation out there- nobody could stop him and he shot decently. This could be a really good 2nd team with Brooks, Berry, Artest (I assume Battier starts and Artest plays 30+ minutes coming of the bench) landscola and Hayes. A little small, but can run and get after it and shoot.
Looked Thursday night like I imagine they drew it up in their minds over the sumertime.
I wouldn't read too much into Tracy's sitting out in the 4th. He's still recovering from his off-season surgery and is clearly not close to 100%. Why bother putting him in 4th quarter if the rockets are doing so well.
No Scola either. And no Rafer up until the last 90 seconds or so, when another ball handler was needed.
The simple fact is that the Rockets are deep enough and versatile enough to where they don't have to play starters in the 4th--although, I agree that I wouldn't read too much into Tracy sitting other than him still not being 100%.
Artest seems like the rockets best all around player. He is an excellent rebounder, great defender, and quite good at scoring. He seems to hit the open 3 pretty well.
Landry really impresses me as well.
Brooks has been a pleasant surprise. Really quick with the ball, excellent penetrator and seems like he can shoot, too.
