Can the Huckster and Ron Paul prevent McCain from getting the 1,191 committed delegates on the first vote at the national convention and make things interesting?

From what I hear, a lot of Romney delegates are less than thrilled with McCain and may not vote for him in spite of Romney's endorsement.

I hope so. I'm still voting for Ron Paul.

The Republican Party is not the Democratic Party. Cooler heads will make sure McCain can start going after the center ASAP.

I'm with Bernie.

I've been going door to door for Ron Paul for months, and will continue to do so.

McCain's (and presumably softlynow's) prescription for "fighting terrorism" is to throw more water on the grease fire. Good luck with that. (Lemme see, is anti-American sentiment spreading, or have we about wiped it and al Qaeda out? )

It is a shame that non-interventionism and truly free trade would indeed be a radical departure from current policy. God forbid we should ignore the commercial interests clamoring to spread the "war on drugs" in South America and the "war on terror" in the ME. God forbid we should follow that radical, kooky Constitution and mind our own freaking business for a change.

Perhaps it is time to start taking Ron Paul seriously. In response to the original post, it's all about delegates, and Ron Paul will have a LOT of sympathetic delegates come convention time. Particularly if the dollar keeps tanking due to our seriously flawed monetary policy.

China is going to have its day in the sun regardless of whether we elect Ron Paul or crown Dick Cheney emperor. They'll use that position of power to consolidate the oil wealth in the Middle East for their consumption, and they don't have the morals to become bogged down like we were.

Our choice has nothing to do with keeping China down because that's not our choice. Rather, we have the option of positioning ourselves to resist Chinese influence on the important stuff. Part of that is developing ways to provide ourselves with energy. Part of that is not borrowing billions from them to fight wars that democratic states can't win.
