The Real Roy Williams

May not be a Lion for much longer. He's a FA at the end of the year and I don't see him staying in Detroit, nor do I see them franchising him if they think of him as a their second WR.

He wants the ball more now and will want big time money when he becomes a FA, and the Lions don't seem willing to give him either. If this keeps up, it's possible that they'll trade him before the season is up, especially if they continue to be a piss poor as team and organization as they have always been.

GOD PLEASE let dumb *** Matt Millen trade him to the Cowboys for a second round pick!!! Watch the dumb as Lions fans cheer them getting a second rounder for him, as they watch him help the Boys win their 6th title!!

Both Roy and TO in the same huddle could sure enough make a safety **** himself. Could they both peacefully coexist in the same locker room?

I think they'd work to gether, no doubt. Roy would be close to home, with a huge new contract, on a winning team, and would over the next year or two become the unquestioned go to WR for America's team. Lets remember T.O. is in his mid 30's.... That wall is getting closer and closer and Roy would step right in as the lead WR once T.O. hits it. There is no down side to it IMO. Get'er done Jerry!!

No downside except it took him all of two games to start criticizing his new coach, he's not happy being a number 2 wr which he would be here, and he can't seem to stay healthy for a whole season.

Sounds like a good investment for a team that has good chemistry and is currently the favorite to win the NFC.

I wonder what name they'd stitch on his jersey, since "Roy Williams" is already taken.

Better just to trade or dump Evil Roy and not have to mess with it

He is going to get the franchise tag for at least one year. Him being the #2 WR has nothing to do with that. Take a look around the league at the guys who have been franchised. It does not have much to do with the overall quality of the player, it has to do with keeping a guy in a need position out of free agency.

It sucks for the player because he gets no long term deal, but it does give them a good salary for one season.
