I was going right up until I found out the ticket price...$43 before service charges??

That's insane. Stubb's is really a crappy venue for a show. They need some serious upkeep there. I think there are plans for renovations, finally.

I'm curious to know why you think it's crappy. I and most people I know consider it one of the best venues in Austin. The sound is great and you've got a good view from just about every spot in the house...unless you get there so late you have to stand at the very back.
