The Philippines

I will be in the Philippines for three weeks starting on March 16th and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Right now I plan on visiting the Chocolate Hills and Banuae. I will fly from Cebu to Manila on the 4th and then back to Bangkok so I'll need to work my way south. I'm also getting my PADI license this week, I know the Philippines has great diving but I don't know where (and I prefer non-touristy beaches generally). Thanks for the help.

I have never dove in The Philippines, but I've met people who have.

Bohol is supposed to have some good diving at Alona Beach.

Apo Island near the Negros is supposed to be good. Folks have mentioned Puerto Galera (Sabang Beach) which is about 3 hours south of Manila.

Cebu is has great diving. Malapascua Island has come up quite a bit in conversation.
