The Parlor- pizza and beer

Ate at the Parlor on North Loop for the first time last weekend. The pizza was much better than I was expecting, and they had a good beer selection. GF and I shared a sun dried tomato and artichoke heart, with half pepperoni and we were both very pleased with the flavor and of the crust, cheese and toppings. Beer of choice was the Live Oak Liberation Pale Ale, fresh and cold. My neighbors were happy with their pizza and beer choices as well. I would gladly go again.

I live about a block from there. Good times. They host some SXSW shows, as does the fairly new coffee shop down the street. Come on down and spend money in my neighborhood. Too bad Ararat closed.

unpainted it wrong, don't listen to him, the pizza is good.

It will always hold a special place in my heart, because I bought my first pint of Fireman's 4 at the North Loop store 2 years ago. And then about 5 minutes later I bought my first pitcher of Fireman's 4. It was love at first drink.

well, I don't mind Digiorno as far as frozen pizza goes.

and yes, I am right. They taste similar. Even the crust is the same.

Parlor isn't bad pizza, it just tastes like Digiorno.

Ararat closed? That certainly sucks.

That whole little strip center area on North Loop has a very nihilistic vibe. Step into MonkeyWrench Books....end up on a government watch list.

Maybe Ararat moved to a location on Manor Rd. Not sure.

I like my weird neighborhood. That's the only thing I'm doing to keep Austin weird as suggested by another thread, other than just being weird myself and going to Eeyore's and such.
