The Mole?

Anyone gonna watch this? Has anyone watched it before? With all of our Monday shows off for the time being, I recommended that we start watching The Mole tonight. She agreed, but I don't know if it's any good. Thoughts?

Yea I got excited when I heard the Mole was coming back, but then I realized the only season I actually liked was the celebrity version. I might try this season, but can't guarantee it'll be enjoyable based on previous experience.

I really liked the first season. It was recently replayed on Fox Reality Channel. You can find it and the second season online if you look.

There's always a lot going on strategy wise.

What is the basic premise of the show? I can make an assumption based on the title, but can't really gather a complete hypothesis from the previews.

I watched the second season (pre-celebrity) and liked it alot. It is a complicated game as far as reality shows go.

You've got 12 people involved with the competition, 11 of them are regular competitors and 1 of them is an agent of the producers (the Mole). Each week the contestants compete in challenges which add money to the final winnings. The mole is there to try to undermine the competitions and keep the eventual pot low. The choices of the competition are in the hands of one of the competitors voted in from challenge to challenge, to maximize the Mole's ability to influence the game. At the end of each episode, the contestants take a quiz where they are asked to identify things about the mole and what they have done in the competition. The person who scores the lowest on the quiz goes home. The results of the quizes are tallied off camera and the only feedback the contestants get is who was the lowest.

The ability to get along with people really doesn't matter. What does matter is access to information. Each contestant keeps a journal about what is going on. They are encouraged to team up, but since they don't know who the Mole is that isn't always safe.

It is a fun show.

FYI - tonight's episode is the 2nd of the season. If you missed the first episode, you can watch it on abc.com.

I can't believe someone doesn't punch that one dude in the face who isn't trying to do anything and starts complaining everytime he takes a step. I think his name is Bobby. The tatted up guy needs to keep saying **** to him and hopefully make him cry. That'd be awesome.
