the Mac Mini

anyone have one? like it or dislike it? my boyfriend has Dell components and insists that his Dell keyboard/mouse wouldn't be compatible or be able to be plugged into the Mac Mini, but I thought it was compatible with all PC components. thoughts?

The mouse/keyboard would not be unless they have a USB connector. Other common components should be.

My generic PC mouse and keyboard work on my iBook. It takes some getting used to, because the option/control keys are different than on a mac keyboard. But its awesome that macOS has support for 2 button mice. I really wish they'd put 2 buttons on their keyboards.

As was said above, most PC keyboards and mice use PS/2 connectors. Macs do not. However, if the keyboard/mouse is standard enough, it should work with a PS/2 -> USB adapter.

I'd recommend getting a USB hub so you don't hog too many USB ports on the computer.

There good for people that want a computer that works for low intensity work (good for music, movies, pictures, word processing, powerpoint).

TGarden, not sure exactly, but my guess is that it's just a generic (read:inexpensive and cheaply made) USB keyboard and scroll mouse. It was listed in their circular last Friday.
