Saw this last night via Netflix.

Directed by Huston, who also plays Grizzly Adams, who comes to Langtry to die.Somehow I doubt that happened, much like most of the latter half of the movie.

Lots of big stars. Newman. Ned Beatty. Stacy Keach. A very young Victoria Principal (***wow***). Tony Perkins. Ava Gardner.

I didn't understand why his half-Mexican, all-Texan daughter (J. Bisset) had a British accent. Is it because Bisset is such a hack?

Deadwood, it ain't.

Starts off pretty well. Degenerates slowly but surely to a real POS by 2/3 of the way through.

The ending is a disaster. I thought it was directed by George Roy Hill, but you're right. The movie is a mess, but has potential in the beginning.

The movie as a whole is a disaster and a disgrace: so much talent wasted.

But..............the scenes with Stacey Keach as Bad Bob, the original bad bob, are wonderful.

You shot him in the back. He never had a chance.

Nope. If he'd wanted a chance, he should have gone to some other town.
