The Last Plains Indian War Chief

It may well be about politics, but I like this one. The history of the plains Indians, the battles, and the different tribes were a favorite subject of mine as a kid/teen. He deserved the Medal of Freedom.

I checked out the 103rd. They were deployed about the same time as my Dad's unit (44th Infantry), but were north of his position.

How is this about politics? (Maybe my sarcasm meter is broken.)

There is no one in the world more revered in his immediate universe than this guy. There are tons of CEO's. There is one war chief. There may never be another one in his tribe.

That is an amazing feat, and I had seen his story told on the Ken Burns documentary. You wouldn't think those criteria could be met in modern warfare, but this guy did it.
