I was in middle school, mid-1980s, and my sister, who was in college, gave me a cassette tape with some Judys songs on it. Loved it. Sounded like nothing else I'd heard at the time.
it was always great to see those guys play at Numbers 2 back in the day. and the Moo tour at the austin opera house. i still play their cassette tapes occasionally. but went ahead and ordered the CDs at the site below.
Ah, the greatness of the Judy's. I went out with the little sister of one of the guys in band while in high school....she scored me a free moo t-shirt and tape
THey had both of those CD's at Waterloo when I visited Austin at the end of January. I brought them both back up to where I live now, which is Little Rock. I have been playing them for friends at parties and what not. They love the Judy's.
I had a friend who went to aggy, and his older sister went there when we were still going to Jesuit in Dallas. We were looking through her tape collection as he told me I could take whatever I wanted. Moo was one of them. I have loved this band ever since. I bet 1/2 the people that have ever listened to the Judy's heard about them from someone's sister.
