I don't know the legalities of this possibility so its all speculation......after Hogan's son rolled the car and permanently paralyzed the Marine, it must have crossed their mind to divorce in order to protect some of the assest from the inevitable car accident lawsuit. The 'affair' helps sell the divorce angle.
