The Horns Fought Hard and Represented Well

The officiating in the game was annoying. It was exactly the type of game that is exciting when the officials let the guys play and frustrating when they can't breathe without blowing their whistle.

We could have won this game so easily...woulda, shoulda, coulda. Our erratic play in the first 10 minutes and horrendous free throw shooting cost us the game. However, IMO, Barnes did a remarkable job with this relatively inexperienced team. How many of the guys played significant minutes in the tournament last year? Two?

We will miss AJ (James, too?), but Ward, Balbay, Pittman, and Johnson will be beasts next year.

I agree that the team needs to shoot free throws and more free throws. Balbay needs to practice shooting from all areas of the floor. He must be a scoring threat, in addition to his other contributions.

We can go deep into the tournament next year.

Despite the loss to Duke, I was proud of the Horns. They played their hearts out and represented UT very well.

Uhm, the Durant, Augustin, Abrams, and Atchley team was an incredible team at the stripe. 3 of those guys were above 80%, and AJ was over 90% that year.

Horns were 50% FG; 25% 3pt; and 64% FT. Duke was worse from the field only 43% FG; BUT they shot 50% from 3 pt range and 78% from the line

Still the team did well and made a game of it.
