I went for a ride on my bike and didn't sweat until about the 3 mile mark. Stopped down at the river and watched the salmon stragglers swim up stream. By the time they get this far north, their pretty played out and knarly.

It's 11:30 here and still light out.

Huck, I'm not sure what will be worse... January or 8:00 am UT kickoffs that I'll be lucky to actually see on TV.

OBTW, the high for tomorrow is supposed to be 63.

20 below? Try 40 or even 50 below. It'll be cold enough here that uncovered skin will freeze in less than 5 minutes. Liquid will disentegrate if thrown in the air.

I'm 3 hours behind ya'll. So by the time I get up in the morning, you poor slobs will have been at work for several hours.

My day tomorrow:

1. Move the baby furniture back into the nursery (I painted it today.)
2. Put the crib together
3. Play some XBox
4. Post on Hornfans throughout the day
5. Call some ex-coworkers and give the crap
6. Go buy some beer
7. Watch some baseball
8. Ride my bike up to the ski hill and check out what it looks like

Besides, I'm just sitting here watching Letterman. What else is there to do way out here until football season starts?

Not so fast indeed. I went out and got the paper and put on the coffee. Other than Hornfans, that's it for me today. That is unless I feel like giving the old lady a break and driving the kid to band camp at Bowie.

Oh, and in Austin today, the predicted high is 91. 91 with scattered showers the last week of July!

Mac- What the hell are you going to do up there while your wife is saving lives and making a difference? Stay at home dad? Cause that's cool, I was just wonering if you had a job or not.

If you're looking for a job, you shuold look into being an "Alaskan King Crab Fisherman". Sounds fun. All the crab you can eat.

yeah- but hornian the problem is that the crab also have a 2% chance of eating you! (thats the average fatality rate of the King crab fishermen each season)

No kidding. I'm moving this weekend. Late July in Houston and I am getting highs of 90-91.

Now, what was that about Global Warming again?

The northernmost Denny's looks like pretty much every other one. We have the following northernmost:

McDonald's
Wendy's
Subway
KFC
Pizza Hut
Home Depot
Wal-mart

And of course, at Casa Macanudo, a Burnt Orange Family Room.

As for a job, I'm pretty much taking it easy until Baby Macanudo comes in October. Then, it's full time God Of All That Is Domestic, I do have a line on a part time job at Home Depot that I might explore.

As for the mosquitoes, I just don't see them. We live less than 1/2 mile from slow flowing river with plenty of shallow draft cutoffs. I see them every now and then when I'm right on the river but not anyplace else.
