Good article on Mangino.
I am real curious to see how KU does the next few years. Their run last year - and build up to it the last 2 years - reminds me of the good Northwestern teams under Barnett and Walker. They would have some ok years (above .500) and then a magical 11-1 season (Rose Bowl)............
And then they collapsed back into mediocrity (at best).
KU is going to have a target on them this season and the next few years. It will be interesting to see how they handle it. I really don't think they sustain this level of success but we will see.
As a broader point, Mangino's story is pretty damn impressive. Worked real hard to get where he is. Nice to see that rewarded.
