The Great Denver-Dallas Rivalry

WTF? A local news station here in Denver did a big story at the top of their program about the great Denver-Dallas rivalry. Below is a link to a snippet of it on their webpage. Hey, I'm from Dallas and NEVER thought about Denver as a rival in anything. Have I missed something??

Mark Cuban pisses everyone off. I'm not completely surprised Denver hates them. A lot of teams hate Cuban, most teams don't like the Mavericks in the first place, except for Golden State maybe.

I have experienced many Colorado people who want to dislike Texans. It could be Mavericks v Nuggets, Horns v Buffs, you name it. I have shown up to ski in Colorado and experienced this "unwelcomeness." Of course, I have met tons of people from Colorado who feel differently, and think positive thoughts about our great state, but I believe there are many in that state who feel differently. Given my numerous experiences in Colorado, I don't get it, but I've seen it.

Those Stars/Avalanche series from 1999-2000 were epic. Roy vs. Eddie, Modano vs. Sakic, Hatcher vs. Forsberg. Mike Keane's game winner against his old team. Man. I wish the Stars were good again.

Apparently it started when a bunch of Texas oilmen got rich and started buying up Colorado land. Then Hollywood movie stars started buying into the mountain region.

Funny how people take your money and then complain that you came in the first place. Colorado people remind me of the French.
