We got Uconn vs Notre Dame
and
Stanford vs Texas A&M

Both games will be on ESPN this Sunday with the second matchup going first at 6 pm CST. The Irish and Huskies are scheduled to tip off at 8:30 pm.

The championship game will Tuesday, April 5, on ESPN at 7:30 pm.

The two teams I would like to see playing Tuesday are Notre Dame and Stanford. While I would ordinarily root for A&M since they are from the Big 12, this time they are going up against Stanford. Kayla Pedersen plays for the Cardinal and she’s the reason I’m pulling for the Tree to win it all. I admire the way she plays the game and what she does on the court. If A&M does pull off the upset, I will root for them to bring home the championship.

I really just want some other team than UConn to win this year so I’m hoping that Notre Dame can upset UConn tomorrow. Otherwise, it will be up to either Stanford or A&M to stop the UConn express.

Hopefully, these will exciting games to watch and highlight the best of WBB.

Im rooting for Texas A&m to win it all even though I have rooted for Stanford several times in the past against other teams. I can't stand Uconn so im all for Notre Dame. I think this will be one of those odd years that a team that hadn't won it before, will sneak up and win it. Kinda like Baylor and Maryland did a few years back. So im predicting Texas A@M over Stanford 66-59 then Notre Dame over UCONN 65-64. In the title game it will be Texas A@M over Notre Dame 81-75.

Sorry, but I think the Irish have zero chance of beating "the-team-who-shall-not be-named" (I'm so sick of them, I won't even say their name!!).....

I am not sure about the next game, but just think Stanford has too many weapons...

I am just waiting for the 2nd or 3rd Final Four from now, when TEXAS will be playing!!

"ABC"....Anybody BUT the "team-who-shall-not-be-named"

I think Stanford has the best team, and UConn the best player, but I believe any one of the four could take home the title. I wish the Ags were on the same side of the bracket as the Huskies because I think they could take them out, but they may still get that chance if they upset the Cardinal. I think Notre Dame has a chance at upsetting UCONN - they only lost by 3 the first time they met this season - but whether or not they have enough belief in themselves is another question. If all teams play their best I think Stanford wins it all, but then again that's a big 'if'!

Gary Blair is such a character. Really funny and interesting to listen to, yet ESPN can only show Geno. How many times do we have to see the interview with the ESPN staff who go to the the University of Connecticut? Does it really pay off for one network to be so East coast biased? Can't believe it with so many fans of basketball across the country. NOT excited that the longhorn network is in partnership with ESPUCONN.

I'm rooting for the aggies but I think Stanford should be considered the favorite because of the Ogwumike girls. I don't think you'll find a more impressive pair of sisters anywhere, including the WNBA.

man, that was some screen that flatten Colson. Second one, I think, that happened in the with another aggy guard hitting floor in the first half. That had to hurt. Reminded me of our team when they didn't call out the screen and Jamie or Nina would run into the screen and hit the floor.

Glad that Colson is coming back in.

Wow! Congrats, A&M. great game. Time to bring another national championship to Texas and second to the Big 12.

I'm really disappointed that Stanford didn't win but that happens.

gotta say that I did not think aggy was going to pull a win there...seemed like every time they got within a possession, Stanford came back with a run of their own.

Also good fundamentals to have ensured the team realized the timeout situation so nobody tried to call a phantom TO in that last minute.

Good finish...and as Blair said, it was good to see the refs let them play those last few minutes.

All credit to the Ags, and to Blair on his first championship game appearance; it's been a long time in the making! Now we get to find out who he's up against - I'm pulling for ND (and I NEVER pull for Notre Dame in anything!) but I'm not all that confident about their chances. At least let it be a close game like the Ags and Cardinal.

I am very proud of underdog A&M for knocking off one of the famed powers in the game. I hope Doris Burke learned a lesson not to come out and say as an announcer that you don't think a team has the offensive ability to win. (She made this pronouncement early in the second half, I think.) Not smart to say, because anything can happen at this level. Carter couldn't hit anything, and Colson had her problems. But the aggies won anyway. Their defense is amazing. I never saw a final four team as taken out of their offense as Stanford was. I think Stanford and most of the country is in a state of shock. We have unfortunately known about Aggie defense for a long time here at UT.

I don't like the screens set on defensive players coming up the court, like Neka did on Colson (and as Michigan State did to Jamie Carey in '03). I know it's legal, but maybe it should be made illegal, because severe injuries could so easily result. IMO, coaches know there's a high probability of causing injury when they call that play, so I think it's it's bad sportsmanship to use it at all.

Go Irish.

Good thing those Ags fired Blair since he didn't win it all in his first 4 years. Oh wait....

Hook em Aggies.

Blair had a 11-5 conference record in his 3rd year and a 13-3 conference record in his 4th year. Why would they fire him? You need to find someone else to compare.

going to be Notre Dame and Texas A&M in the final. Now all the stories are going to be about UConn and Moore losing.

Great job by the Irish.

Now, let's see if they can handle aggy's pressure on Tuesday.
