The FBI to Congress: We don't answer to you

Congress is a pretty slimy bunch, but they are really all the people have as a check on government. The unelected agencies that make up the Executive Branch (FBI, NSA, IRS, etc.) have gotten to the point where they often believe they don't have to answer to anyone. Snowden pointed this out to us a few years back. In the clip below, a House member actually doing his job shows how difficult it is for Congress to use its oversight authority as the FBi arrogantly refuses to provide requested documents. Finally, the Congressman is forced to issua a subpoena.

Trouble is that there are only 1 or 2 that are not onto the game of enriching themselves and playing the system. Even then, if they play too hard, the executive branch will find a way to neutralize you.

Chaffetz gave him the equivalent of: "who's your daddy?"

What is up with the FBI turning into partisan political hacks? First the DOJ, then the IRS, now the FBI. What a sad state of decaying integrity under the "most transparent administration ever".

Snowden may be right about this if he pointed it out. Maybe he could put it on his tombstone after his hanging.
