The ESPY's

You really must have missed the show tonight. Probably the most hilarious thing i have seen that has to deal with sports. JT was genius

JT is an amazing talent.

The awards are still stupid.

There's some pretty funny stuff on the show, though.

I went into the ESPYs last night with a closed mind. I do not like Justin Timberlake. I do not like his music. I do not like his hip-hop genre of stardom. I was already making fun of him before the show started. But five minutes into it he had me laughing. He did a good job. Not all of it was funny, but most of it was. I was entertained.

The ESPY's are something of a condensed example of what is wrong with ESPN, a network celebrating itself over what it's supposed to being doing.

Thanks for the correction on the show title.

The ESPY's still ******* suck, as does Justin Timberlake.

But, I respect your entertainment choices, but feel sorry for them.

ESPN is hack ******** and their awards celebrate this.

Their tear jerker profiles and lame comedy are for the masses who like spoon fed entertainment. Which is fine, but it why we are the fat *** country that we are.

Timberlake is a ******* hack, a no talent hack at that.

His music and acting are diluted cesspools of mindless skullduggery.

If you are entertained by this, I feel sorry for you.

Sorry for the rant, but I ******* hate the ESPY's and Timberlake, so it is a double barrel reaction.

i think the espy's suck. i think JT has some talent if you are a 15 year old girl who likes ****** pop music. that said, JT is trying to drop that image and move on. he's having a good deal of success and i wish him luck.

pop music loving teenage girls and overblown ESPN guy have **** for taste.

I used to feel the same way. I can't stand the boy-band, teenie-bopper pop crap that comes out these days that turns no-talent ***-clowns into stars. I hated JT because he was from this same background. But after seeing the ESPYs along with some of his more recent work, it's clear that he is actually a very talented guy. Sure, you may not like his style, his type of music, the way he dresses, etc., but you can't deny he has some serious talent.

I cannot fathom anyone claiming JT has 'no talent' with a modicum of a straight face. Seriously?

Go watch his SNL appearance. That was one of the best SNL episodes of the last decade. Not saying a whole lot, I know, but still.

D**k in a box.

I laughed for a week after seeing that skit.

I have no doubt that Timberlake was good, but I can't just make myself watch a sports awards show. The whole concept of that is just ludicrous.

JT is one of those guys you want to hate because the media fawns over him and your wife and all her friends are in love with him. Then you accidentaly catch his HBO special or SNL while your wife is watching it and you grudgingly give him his due. Dude is talented.

Most ESPY's suck. This one was pretty funny. Will Ferrell helped a lot. But Timberlake had some good lines, they must have hired good talent. The cameras courtesy of Bill Bellicek. That's funny.

If you ranked today's superstars in music, TV, and film according to their innate talent, Timberlake would be WAY closer to the top of the list than the bottom.

Haha, this is turning into a coming-out-of-the-closet thread for us dudes. Step 1, admitting we have a problem. Step 2, acceptance. Step 3, realizing that it isn't so bad. Thank god for the anonymity of internet message boards. You'd never hear a group of guys standing around in public vouching for the talents of a former boy-band member.

But of course, I'll never admit any of this to my fiance (she's a female, I swear).

I watched the first 45 minutes or so last night on ESPN2 and I thought JT was hilarious. The part about the wardrobe malfuntion was great.
