...a movie one of my buddies from college made. Monday Night at 7:30--Austin only gets one showing on their whirlwind tour of the states.

The movie is called Box Elder, and while I haven't seen it yet, I've watched the trailer dozens of times. It should be pretty damn funny. The title "Box Elder" refers specifically to the box elder bugs, which are apparently loud, noisy, scary looking, and completely harmless passive/agressive creatures. Kind of like college kids today.
My friend is the writer, director, and one of the actors--he's the friend you had in college that most resembles characters you see in movies. The screwball who somehow manages to get into ridiculous situations yet act like they are completely normal.
The cast will be there for a Q&A session afterwards i believe, and if you're looking for some insight into the final four, I would ask the director, Todd Sklar, who he likes. Dude can pick.
So go on Monday night and support some young, broke artists!
