'The Closer'

I've enjoyed several seasons of "The Closer" and watched the final episode Monday. The major players will continue on the spinoff "Major Crimes". The first episode was kinda ho-hum at best. I know Mary McDonald is a heralded actress, but she portrays her character like she is on high dose valium.
I will give them more time and see if it improves.
